The Kinetic Chain Assessment (KCA) is a thorough biomechanical, neuromuscular, lifestyle, nutritional and Endocrine asessment
It is unlike any other assessment you will find anywhere (apart from with another KCA Level 3 Specialist!) within the UK, or even worldwide
Following a detailed personal history that will cover your work and social life activities, nutrition, hydration and stressors, you will go through a Static Postural analysis. You will have your posture recorded from several angles. This is followed by a Functional Movement observation to check how your body works as a unit. This is most often an Over Head Squat using a light broom handle – believe us, it’s very technical!
You will then be put through a series of individual tests to confirm or rule out the results from the previous tests. These include checking if your gluteals are firing correctly or are weak, whether your hip flexors are tight from too many hours sat at a desk. If you have upper cross syndrome from weak back and strong chest (amongst other things), to even if your ankles are locked up and causing you knee or hip pain
Did you know that the fascial train extends from your forehead to your foot and that problems at either extremity can effect the other?
You will have various body measurements taken. In all, this can take between an hour and 90 minutes
Your results will be discussed briefly but we need to analyse all the data to come to a precise conclusion on where your problems lay. You will then receive the report (10 pages +) within 48 hours by either email or post. Most clients are amazed at the detail of these reports. It will cover all the tests undertaken with your results, what they should have been, and how to address those issues
Your report will include photos of your posture from a front, side and back view so you can see for yourself where your problems lie
As you can see, the KCA is very indepth and it is for this reason we suggest ALL clients go through this to determine true dysfunction causes
