If you have reached this page then it is fair to say that you have, or have had at some time, Back pain and want to know the best way to resolve it.
Back Pain is one of the most common problems our clients come to us for. It is estimated that 80% of the population will have had some back pain at some time in their life. This is no wonder considering the time we spend sitting at desks, PC’s, televisions and driving. Also, the majority of people do far too little exercise and those that do, do not perform adequate warm up and cool downs, or regular mobility and flexibility drills.
We want to give you the most up to date information and the most professional help available so that you can get back to living your life pain free. Further along this site you will find a range of information relating to back problems and how best to aid your recovery. But there are so many things that can go wrong with our backs so first of all, we suggest you arrange to call in for an assessment.
If you have just suffered an injury to your back, we suggest applying ice as per our RICE information sheet then rest from anything too physical for 48-72 hours and see if the problem settles. You need to keep mobile though so keep bed rest to a minimum. During this period, you will probably be too tense or in too much pain to undergo an assessment so give it a day or so to ease then give us a call.
Your first session will incorporate an assessment and first treatment so please allow up to 90 minutes. We can then tell you how long and how many sessions your recovery is likely to take. We will give you some home based exercises and self treatment to get on with and arrange to see you again within a few days. If you are paying good money for our services, it makes sense to follow our advice!
