Within the Studio, you will find a private Treatment room where you will feel relaxed and able to communicate your specific issues with your therapist

If you are coming to us for a specific injury or issue then all clients will go through an assessment. After all, if you’re not assessing, you are guessing
We recommend all clients go through our Kinetic Chain Assessment (KCA). This is an in-depth full body analysis of how you function both statically and dynamically. It takes an hour plus and you will receive a comprehensive report with the findings and how to rectify them. We can then work out a strategy of corrective work and rehabilitation
Sure, the KCA can seem expensive but knowing what the problem(s) is could save you a lot of time and money in the long term as opposed to going down the trial and error route
If you choose not to go for the KCA, you will still get an assessment, just not as in depth
During your first session, this will double as a consultation and treatment but obviously you won’t have a full treatment. We have found that some clients feel “cheated” if they do not go away with some form of treatment at the initial session. Although we feel it is wrong to look at it like this, we do understand
Back Pain
Obviously there are many causes of back pain so we have to see the results from your assessment before we decide on the actually treatment
Most back pain can be attributed to a few causes. One of the most common is Anterior Pelvic Tilt. This is where the pelvis is rotated forwards placing added strain on the Lumbar Spine. This can also place pressure on the nerves emanating from that region causing discomfort, numbness and pain
This particular problem again has several causes but the most common involve weak gluteal muscles (buttocks) and weak abdominals, and overly strong hip flexors and lower back muscles. Expect this to take around three sessions to remove the pain then a few more to ensure no recurrence
Our usual session to resolve this would look at decompressing all the major joints – ankle, hip, sacrum, wrist and shoulder, then working the muscles involved to either strengthen them or remove tightness. We may apply massage to the general back muscles as well to relieve any compensatory stress
You will then be taken through some corrective exercises to do at home and between further treatment sessions. We would usually predict a 50% improvement within three treatments!
Hamstring Strain
The large group of muscles at the rear of the top of both legs is a common injury for many in sport. As with any injury, there are many causes but the most common issue causing Hamstrings strains is back tightness or pelvic tilt
Of course, we check out the muscle where you feel your pain but don’t be surprised if the majority of work is carried out a little further up the body
Depending on the severity of the strain, it is common for return to sport to take 4-7 weeks, so please be a patient patient and follow our advice unless you want to re-injure yourself pretty quickly
